Who supplies the maps?
TELE-ATLAS is the European leader in
digital cartography with a clear strategy of neutrality
that allows it to concentrate on developing its unique
task: to create, update and sell digital maps. Geograma
SL is a TeleAtlas VAR (Value Added Reseller); this means
we can offer the best technical support for its products.
We also have an on-line contract that enables Geograma
to offer TeleAtlas' digital cartography as an ASP (Application
Service Provider).
Due to their vast experience in creating navigational cartography,
TeleAtlas' digital maps meet the specifications that are
required for their use in the fields of GIS, Geomarketing,
LBS (Location-Based Services), Transport, Telematics,
etc.
Coverage is increasing constantly worldwide. TeleAtlas'
main efforts are focused on areas where industrial activity
and services demand a global and homogeneous cartographic
map base.
Current available countries are: Europe: Austria, Belgium/Luxemburg, Czech Republic,
Denmark, Eire, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary,
Italy, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland, the Netherlands, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
Asia and Pacific: Singapore, Malaysia.
Middle East and Africa: United Arab Emirates.
America: The United States, Canada, Argentina and
Brazil.
The forecast of countries that will be available in future
versions:
Asia and Pacific: Macao, Indonesia, Thailand.
Middle East and Africa: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain,
Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt.
America: Guam, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Virgin Islands.

will depend on the number of users who will have access
to it; therefore we suggest that you Contact

No, you only acquire the rights of use of the maps for
a limited period of time.

How are the maps structured? List the information layers
used in map structure.
TeleAtlas maps are created with the following levels
of information which are delivered in structured layers:
Level 1 (L1): Road and street centrelines (name
and class), administrative boundaries.
Level 2 (L2): Associated cartographic features:
land-use polygons (urban, industrial, airports, etc.)
and type of vegetation (forests, urban parks, natural
parks, etc.), rivers and canals, railways.
Level 3 (L3): Addresses.
Level 4 (L4): Traffic flow directions and circulation, routing attributes: traffic restrictions,
manoeuvres, junctions, overpasses and underpasses, toll
roads.
Level 5 (L5): Navigational attributes.
Level 6 (L6): Points of Interest (POI's): Airports,
car parks, car rental agencies, cinemas, schools and universities,
commercial and cultural centres, companies, embassies,
ferries, customs, official centres, hospitals, hotels,
tourist information and tourist centres, libraries, ports,
museums, petrol stations, post offices, railway stations,
rest areas, restaurants, stadiums, theatres, zoos.
The following restrictions apply to the purchase of the
different levels of information:
Levels L2, L3 and L4 must be purchased along
with L1 (the geometry layer).
L5 must be purchased along with layers L1 and L4.
